Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026: Dates, Tickets, Where to Stay and How to Watch

The short answer: The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix runs from Thursday, November 19 to Saturday, November 21, 2026, on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit. The race starts at 8pm local time on Saturday night, not Sunday. Tickets are sold as general admission, grandstands and hospitality, now with single-day options for every category. Stay on or next to the Strip if you want to walk to the track, or off the Strip if you'd rather save money and avoid the closures.
Here's what we could confirm as of October 2026, and what is still worth checking closer to race week.
When is the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2026?
November 19 to 21, 2026, with every session in the evening or at night. Here's the schedule from the official F1 calendar, converted to Las Vegas time (Pacific Standard Time).
| Day | Session | Local time (PST) |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday, Nov 19 | Practice 1 | 4:30pm to 5:30pm |
| Thursday, Nov 19 | Practice 2 | 8pm to 9pm |
| Friday, Nov 20 | Practice 3 | 4:30pm to 5:30pm |
| Friday, Nov 20 | Qualifying | 8pm to 9pm |
| Saturday, Nov 21 | Race (50 laps) | 8pm |
Support races and fan events fill the gaps, and timetables can shift, so check formula1.com or the official Las Vegas Grand Prix site the week before you fly.
One calendar note: Thanksgiving is the following Thursday, November 26. If you're planning a long trip, flights and hotels around both weekends get busy.
What is the Las Vegas Strip Circuit like?
A 6.201 km (3.85 mile) street circuit with 17 corners, raced at night. It mostly uses public roads, including Las Vegas Boulevard, Koval Lane, Harmon Avenue and Sands Avenue, and it runs past Caesars Palace, Bellagio, the Venetian and Sphere.
- The Strip straight is the headline: a long, flat-out run down Las Vegas Boulevard where most of the overtaking happens.
- The Sphere section wraps around the giant LED venue, which is part of the show at night.
- The pit and paddock sit east of the Strip, in the Koval Lane and Harmon Avenue area, so that part of the lap is away from the casinos.
If you love seeing cars at full speed, look at seats along the Strip straight. If you love braking, overtaking and the chaos of turn one, look near the start of the lap.
What kind of tickets are there?
Three broad types, and for 2026 every category is also sold as a single-day ticket.
| Ticket type | What you get | If you love... |
|---|---|---|
| General admission | Standing room in a set zone, first come, first served | The atmosphere, moving around, a lower price |
| Grandstands | An assigned seat at one spot on the track | Knowing where you'll sit, seeing a screen and one key section |
| Hospitality | Trackside views with food and drinks included | Comfort, a long night out, hosting friends or clients |
A few details from the 2026 sale:
- General admission zones: the Flamingo Zone and the T-Mobile Zone (around the Sphere section). The cheapest Flamingo Zone tickets sold out early, as reported by local press in August 2026.
- Grandstands: named stands include West Harmon, Heineken, T-Mobile, Turn 3 and the Heineken Silver Main Grandstand.
- Hospitality: options include Club Paris, Turn 3 Club and suites; single-day hospitality is new for 2026.
We're not listing prices because they change with demand. Buy from the official site or F1's official ticketing, and be careful with resale listings that don't say which zone or day you're getting.
Where should I stay for the Las Vegas Grand Prix?
Short answer: pick by how you want to reach the track, not by the hotel's name. The closer you are, the higher the price on race week.
| Where | Why stay there | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Center Strip (Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Paris, Flamingo, Cosmopolitan) | Walk to most grandstands; the track runs right past | Highest race week prices; crowds and barriers at the entrances |
| North-center Strip (Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn) | Close to the Sphere section and the T-Mobile Zone | Sands Avenue closures around race week |
| South Strip (MGM Grand, New York-New York, Luxor, Mandalay Bay) | Usually cheaper, a little outside the busiest closures; the Monorail starts at MGM Grand | A longer walk or ride to the track |
| Downtown (Fremont Street area) | Lower prices, a different scene, away from race traffic | You need a ride both ways each night |
| Off-Strip and Convention Center area | Often the best value; near Monorail stations | Check walking routes, since the track blocks some crossings |
If you love walking out of your hotel straight into the noise, book center Strip early. If you're mainly there for the race and want to keep the budget for tickets, stay south Strip or by a Monorail station.
How do I get around during race week?
Short answer: walk and use the Las Vegas Monorail, and don't plan on driving across the Strip at night.
- Road work has already started. As of mid October 2026, crews have closed the Koval Lane and Flamingo Road intersection to install a temporary bridge, with overnight lane cuts on Harmon, Sands and Koval, and 24/7 lane closures planned on Sands Avenue through race week. A full race week closure timetable for 2026 hadn't been published when we checked.
- Expect evening closures on race days. In past years, roads inside the circuit closed in the evenings and reopened in the early morning. Plan for something similar in 2026, but check the official transportation page for the real times.
- The Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip with seven stops, from MGM Grand to SAHARA, including Flamingo and Caesars Palace and Harrah's and The LINQ. Its regular hours run until midnight on Mondays and later the rest of the week. It has extended service on past race weeks; check for 2026 hours.
- Buses and rideshare are rerouted around the track. The RTC posts detours, and the race organizers send traffic updates by text (text "F1LV" to 31996).
- Pedestrian bridges over the track get crowded right before and after sessions. Give yourself extra time.
How can I watch the race if I'm not going?
In the United States, Apple TV is F1's broadcaster from 2026, covering practice, qualifying and races. Outside the US, coverage depends on your country, so check F1's official list of broadcasters. Remember the time: 8pm Saturday in Las Vegas is 11pm on the US East Coast and 4am Sunday in London.
What's the weather like in Las Vegas in late November?
Mild days and cold nights. National Weather Service normals put lows in the mid-40s °F (around 7 °C) by late November, and the race runs late at night, so it feels colder once you've been standing for a few hours.
- A warm jacket, a hat and gloves for the evening sessions
- Comfortable shoes: you'll walk more than you expect
- Earplugs, especially for kids
- A phone battery pack for long nights
What else should I do that week?
The sessions don't start until the late afternoon, so your days are free.
- If you love the desert: Red Rock Canyon is a short drive west of the city. From October 1 to May 31, the Scenic Drive needs a timed entry reservation from 8am to 5pm, booked through Recreation.gov.
- If you love Vegas history: the Neon Museum, north of downtown, keeps old Las Vegas signs; check its site for tour times.
- If you want a show: Sphere hosts films and concerts on its interior screen. Check the schedule, since race week changes what's on and when.
- If you love food: the race week crowd books the famous restaurants first. Reserve dinners before the sessions, or plan late meals after.
